Validation of post-processing code

Postby Drew.Gertz » Fri Mar 15, 2019 5:01 am

Hi everyone,

We are running OpenFAST and have developed our own post-processing code for both fatigue and extreme loads, following the IEC 61400-1 stipulations. I would like to validate the code, and am wondering if there is any publicly available data that we could use. Ideally there would be both simulation output files and verified post-processed loads calculations. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Best Regards,
Drew

Dear Drew,

I would suggest checking against our MCrunch, MExtremes, and/or MLife post-processors, which have been well tested. There are several example files in the associated CertTests.
