Aerofoils for wind turbine blade

Postby Suni.Kar » Sun Aug 26, 2012 12:27 pm

Dear Marshall,
I want to know the aerofoils for best rating of lift and drag for the Re=65,000 ,small wind turbine blade.

Dear Suni,

I'm not actually an expert on airfoils. I am just the guy who makes information about NREL's airfoils available via the web.

If you have not already done so, please check out our airfoil information (http://wind.nrel.gov/airfoils/). The section on airfoil families will help you choose one of our sets of airfoils. You can read more about the airfoils in the Airfoils Docs section.

You might also check out Michael Selig's web site at UIUC (http://www.ae.illinois.edu/m-selig/ads/coord_database.html).
