problems while building the codes using Intel Visual FORTRAN

Postby M.Hammam » Thu Jan 21, 2021 6:05 am

Hi Jason,

I am trying to build the AERODYN , NWTC library and YAWDYN codes using Visual studio with INTEL VISUAL FORTRAN 2020. You sent me YAWDYN "yd_v1216" source files before and I downloaded the AeroDyn and NWTC library from the link "https://github.com/old-NWTC" . However, when i build the codes i had some problems with the actual and dummy arguments mismatch in type and numbers of different parts of the codes. Specifically, I had errors like these when building Brent.f90 code :

- error #6633: The type of the actual argument differs from the type of the dummy argument. [AFINFO]
- error #6784: The number of actual arguments cannot be greater than the number of dummy arguments. [UNCOUPLEDERRFN]

I need help to fix these kind of errors. I know that i do not need this new version of AERODYN to compile YAWDYN. But i am doing this with the purpose of using FAST v7 after working with YAWDYN. As I need to access the furling functions in FAST v7. But for the moment if you could also send me the AERODYN and NWTC libraries that are compatible with this version of YAWDYN this will also help this time.Thanks.

best regards,

Mohamed

Dear Mohamed,

Given that YawDyn is quite an old software, you need an old version of AeroDyn to compile with it, specifically AeroDyn v12.57 (the version on https://github.com/old-NWTC is much newer). I've placed the old AeroDyn v12.57 archive on my Google drive: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Oe0MqM ... sp=sharing.

You don't need the NWTC Library to compile YawDyn.

Dear Jason,

would you kindly share the dependencies required to compile FAST v7.02.00d , such as aerodyn, NWTC LIBRARY, INFLOWIND ..etc. I will use Microsoft visual studio 2020 . Also, if there is a link for these old versions of software could you refer to it, please?

Best regards,

Mohamed
