Impose rotor load time-series

Postby Benoit.Paillard » Sun Nov 18, 2018 8:18 am

Good afternoon all,

Sorry if I missed it somehow, but I'm looking for a way to impose the aerodynamic load on the rotor with a time series. So basically overriding aerodyn computation, and giving just a nacelle load to elastodyn. Is that possible somehow ?

I guess I could define some tailored fake aero coefficients for virtual blades, but that would be a bit messy to implement.

Thank you for your help.

Regards,

Benoit Paillard

Dear Benoit,

This is not possible through an input file, but of course, FAST is open source and you can customize it how you want.

Thanks for the confirmation, I'll look at how that can be done in the code.
