OpenFAST binary distribution

Postby Ole.Layer » Wed Oct 24, 2018 2:48 am

Hi,

I am working with the FAST8 Simulink interface and i am thinking about moving to OpenFAST.
As far as I can see you currently only provide a prebuild executable and the MAP.dll.

Do you plan to distribute a prebuilt OpenFAST dll in the near future?

Best,
Ole

Dear Ole,

The Simulink-FAST v8 interface has not yet been fully updated to support a Simulink-OpenFAST interface. This is an open issue in OpenFAST: https://github.com/OpenFAST/openfast/issues/59. That said, I know that NREL is currently working on this and I hope to see this issue resolved soon.

Dear Jason,

I have been following the issue too on GitHub. Relevant information was mentioned on OpenFAST-Simulink interface #204 https://github.com/OpenFAST/openfast/pull/204 15 days ago, as far as I can see, as I'm particularly interested in the issue of printing to Matlab console too.

Best regards,

Dear Renee,

Yes, hopefully OpenFAST pull request #204 should resolve this issue completely.
