YAW INSTABILITY SIMULATION

Dear jason,

I would like to know how to simulate the yaw instability and apply brake at a particular time in the given simulation period in FAST and also how do i quantify this IN FAST for the case of the tlp, kindly reply in this regard.

Dear Puroshotham,

I'm assuming you are referring to the platform yaw instability described in section 3.3 of the following paper: http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1 ... 2/abstract? The paper explains the analysis setup. Further details are given in sections 5.1 and 6.2.2 of my PhD thesis-turned NREL report: http://www.nrel.gov/docs/fy08osti/41958.pdf.
