Reference Wind Turbine Survey

Postby Jason.Jonkman » Fri Jan 20, 2017 1:51 pm

In preparation for the development of the next generation of Reference Wind Turbines (RWTs), we kindly ask you to provide some feedback on your use of RWTs in general and the NREL 5-MW and DTU 10-MW RWTs in particular. This documentation effort is coordinated in the IEA Wind Task 37: Wind Energy Systems Engineering: Integrated RD&D, and will provide input to the development of a new Class III onshore RWT and a Class I offshore RWT, as well as two Reference Wind Farms using these turbines.

The link for the survey is shown below, and we expect it to take approximately 5-10 minutes to complete:

A lot of work has gone into the development of the RWT's, so we kindly ask you to prioritize answering this survey, since the information is important to the continued development of RWT's.

In the form you will be asked to list the contexts in which you have used an RWT; the publications you have made using one; the modeling fidelities you're working with; comments on the completeness of the data supplied pertaining to the RWT; and suggestions for key characteristics for the up-coming RWT designs.

All the data collected in this survey is anonymous, however, if you are interested in further dialogue we have given the option to share your contact information.

Best regards,

The IEA Wind Task 37 Team
