Hi, anyone out there who can help explain this error message. I am a new user of this program working with NREL 5MW turbine and in the process of designing a monopile substructure. When I set the TurbModel to "IECKAI" and the IEC_WindType to "3EWM50" in Turbsim, I get this error. Could anyone, please help in rectifying this issue!
Thanks in advance

Re: Error message
Dear Samuel,
My guess is that your model is going numerically unstable for some reason. Warnings regarding a “small angle approximation violation,” warnings regarding “supersonic blades,” a simulation crash, or very large deflections that occur in the time series are good signs of a numerical instability. Without knowing more about your simulation settings, it's hard to know that what the problem is. Please use "Search..." in the upper right of the forum to search for "supersonic" to see how we've solved similar problems in the past.
If you are using IEC_WindType = 3EWM50, I would guess you are trying to model a situation with a parked/idling rotor in high winds with the blades feathered to 90 deg. Normally we'd disable induction and the Beddoes-Leishman unsteady airfoil aerodynamics models for such cases.
Best regards,
