I have one more question regarding PitManRat. For 5MW turbine, the maximum blade pitch control rate is 8 degree/s, is this limitation also applicable for PitManRat for override maneuver?

Dear Jason,

When I disabled the pitch control (PCMode = 0) and set variable speed control to simple VS (VSContrl = 1), I still got the same error. Does this still refer to a controller problem?

Dear Jason, I do get the ecpected result when disable the DoF of generator. I also ever doubted if it was the controller problem. Dear Jason,

Thank you for your reply.

When I disabled the Platform DOF, the rotor responses seem reasonable. When I parked the rotor with all DOFs enabled, the platform motions are good to me. Only when the rotor worked with freely floating platform, the crush happened.

Hi, I got the same error messages as discussed above when simulating a floating 10MW turbine. The warning came from AeroDyn, it was proved by disabling AeroDyn and the simulation worked well.
