Interface Openfast in Simulink

Dear all I am trying to interface the OpenFAST with Matlab/Simulink as "FAST_SFunc.c". However, many errors have been arisen in Matlab command windows every time I run Create_FAST_SFunc.m (attached in Simulink.zip) error.JPG also, I tried to include some files in the matlab workng director...

Re: How to choose the perturbation values for linearization?

Dear Dr Jonkman

Thank you for your understanding
Just I noticed that perturbation values are so large while it should be a small deviation from the operating point. Also, it does not causes any problem with my system until now.

Best Regards

How to choose the perturbation values for linearization?

Why the Linearization subroutines of FAST (ED_Init_Jacobian, ED_Init_Jacobian_x) assumes a predefined perturbation values (p%du and p%dx) to perform the linearization for the motion equations? Based on what one should choose these values? For du perturbations if (allocated(u%BladePtLoads)) then do k...

Re: What's the exact meaning of HubIner?

Dear Dr Jason I need some clarification about the red part in the equation below: RotIner = HubIner + SUM(( SecondMom(K) + BldMass (K)* ( HubRad + BldCg(k) )^2 - BldCg(k)^2) *( CosPreC(K)**2 )), k = 1,2,3 ) According to the Parallel Axis Theorem, the red part of equation should represent the square ...

Re: Rotor-Furl Coordinate System

Thank you for kind consideration and clarification. However, I mean that why the transformation between rotor furl frame {rf} and Yaw frame{d} was not like this {rf} = [TransMat] * {d} [TransMat] =[q_RFrl] * [RFrlTilt] * [RFrlSkew] Also, I agree with you partially, {d} and {rf} coordinate systems ar...

Re: Rotor-Furl Coordinate System

Thank you for your explanation. However, I have a question
Why it is necessary to use Similarity Transformations and express the [q_RFrl] rotational matrix in Yaw frame?
It seems that the rotations [RFrlSkew] and [RFrlTilt] are made with respect to current frame concept (not fixed frame concept).

Rotor-Furl Coordinate System

I have a question regarding the transformation matrix - How can I derivative the rotational matrix from Nacelle / Yaw Coordinate System (d1,d2,d3) to Rotor-Furl Coordinate System (rf1,rf2,rf3) ? Where is the origin location of Rotor-Furl Coordinate System (rf1,rf2,rf3)? Please provide me with the re...

Access violation reading location

I tried to add some parameters in the ElastoDyn_Registry.txt. However, after building the code and starting the exe file, it crashed at different lines in ModMesh.f90. In contrary, the code runs normally if i comment the lines containing that parameters in ElastoDyn_Registry.txt. 1.png 2.png Reg.png

Debugger problem "The breakpoint will not currently be hit. No symbols have been loaded for this document

I am using VS 2017 for coding OpenFast. Every time i place a break point to compile the program, the program continue without stopping at that breakpoint. There is a message appears next to the breakpoint as follows "The breakpoint will not currently be hit. No symbols have been loaded for this...

Re: Missing files in Gasmi Paper Examples

Thank you for your valuable comments The executable file is now generated but I had to modify some files as follows: 1- Add the above mentioned code (in your previious reply) to DoubPrec.f90 and SingPrec.f90 files for library (v1.07.02a-mlb) 2- Change the INTENT for the variable u from IN to INOUT, ...

Re: Missing files in Gasmi Paper Examples

I am now using gfortran to compile both the registry files and library files (v1.07.02a-mlb). Now, I have the registry.exe and also the following registry files, object files and mod files https://i.ibb.co/sQd52cF/reg.jpg https://i.ibb.co/W6vhw72/obj.jpg https://i.ibb.co/6WjDcpJ/MOD.jpg The problem ...
