Evaluation Services

Two types of evaluation services are provided in support of wind turbine certification: Design Evaluation and Evaluation of Wind Turbine Installations

Design Evaluation
Evaluation of the wind turbine design leads to the issuance of a Design Evaluation Conformity Statement for a particular wind turbine model, ensuring that its components, subsystems and systems have been designed and manufactured to existing standards and that procedures and manuals for the wind turbine installation, maintenance, operation, and safety have been developed in conformance with existing standards.

Evaluation of Wind Turbine Installations
Evaluation of a wind turbine installation is conducted to certify that a wind turbine facility (which may be comprised of one turbine or two or more different wind turbines) is in conformance with standards for site assessment, foundation design, installation procedures, operation and maintenance surveillance, personnel safety procedures, and wind plant performance monitoring guidelines.
